Software Developer/Scrum Master
About the role
The Software Developer/Scrum Master position is available for the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems Contract. Located near Lackland Air Force Base, all work is onsite.
Responsibilities
- Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
- Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
- Unit testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
- Building the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
- Create effective APIs
- Create Use cases and Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Create features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Write technical documentation
- Drive the daily execution of an Agile project teams
- Help define, document, and track the completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs
- Run agile meetings such as daily scrum, retrospectives, and planning
- Protects the team from over-committing and scope creep during sprint planning
- Absorbs and resolves team disagreements regarding processes and work styles
- Assists in ironing out team disagreements regarding processes and work styles
- Consults team members on how best to work within a scrum team
- Aids the scrum team by eliminating any external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process improvement
- Works as the administrator of the scrum board
- Ensures that the tasks are up to date in the scrum tool and that the selected tools are working well
- Ability to supervise up to 9 people
- Makes individual visits to team members and stakeholders as needed
- Meets individually with team members and stakeholders as needed
- Meets with Product Owners to collect reporting metrics to better provide status
- Aids the scrum team by eliminating any external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process improvement
Requirements
- Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- BS degree and years of 8+ prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience
- Experience In The Following Applications Frameworks (at Least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML
- Familiarity & Knowledge: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience
- Active TS/SCI preferred
- SAFe Scrum Master & SAFe for Teams, or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master & SAFe for Teams
- 2 years’ experience as a Scrum Master
Qualifications
- Must have the following certification: 8140 DCWF work role, 802 IT Project Manager - CompTIA Security + is preferable, also will accept SecurityX / CASP+ or CISSP
- Applications/Frameworks (at Least 2): JIRA, Confluence, & Slack
- Experience or Knowledge In The Following Areas: Agile software development, agile methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC) management, cross-functional team

Benefits
Pay Range: $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
