About the Role

This is a 100% on-site, part-time position (25 hours a week). The Software Developer will support the Medical Physics department by designing, developing, and maintaining software tools that optimize clinical workflows and enhance patient care. Responsibilities include automating data extraction, maintaining clinical dashboards (specifically for adaptive radiotherapy), and integrating third-party systems like MOSAIQ, Elekta Monaco, and ProKnow.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal web-based applications and dashboards for the Medical Physics department.
  • Support clinical workflows through data extraction, database querying, and task automation.
  • Maintain system functionality and support integration between clinical systems (e.g., MOSAIQ, Elekta Monaco, ProKnow).
  • Ensure long-term sustainability and regulatory compliance of departmental software systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience developing or supporting software applications, databases, or web-based tools.
  • Experience with data extraction, automation, or system integration (preferred).

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Crystal Report Writer.
  • Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database structures.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Basic understanding of Version Control (Git).
  • Experience with Healthcare Interoperability standards (HL7, DICOM).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clinical staff (e.g., Physicists, Dosimetrists, Physicians).

Schedule

Part-time, 25 hours per week.
