About the role

Solerity is seeking a Software Developer to develop professional dashboards using the Maven Analytics methodology. You will need a mix of structured data modeling, data visualization, and business communication skills. The Maven framework focuses on solving business problems first before building any charts.

Responsibilities

  • Power BI: Develop robust relational data models, create complex custom analytics with Advanced Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and publish web apps via Power BI Service.
  • Advanced SQL: Craft performant queries to clean, filter, join, and pull raw data directly out of relational database engines.
  • Python for BI: Use Plotly, Dash, or Pandas libraries to architect bespoke, highly interactive data applications.
  • Dashboard design & Storytelling: Apply layout structure, visual selection, information hierarchy, and contextual copywriting.
  • Strategic & Business Acumen: Focus on measurement planning, problem-first mindset, and target audience needs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel: Use standard formulas, data cleaning, dynamic pivot tables, and mock-up reporting for early dashboard drafts.
  • Write SQL queries to aggregate, filter, and join raw data tables.
  • Perform data cleansing: profile data, fix null values, and format data types.
  • Build data models: create star schemas, manage table relationships, and handle data granularity.
  • Write custom calculations for time-intelligence and complex KPIs.
  • Design dashboards with strong user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance (or eligible for one).
  • 8140 requirement: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CCNA, GICSP, CISSP, CISM, or GSLC.
  • Layout Structure: Position high-priority revenue or KPI cards in prime real estate corners (e.g., top-left) following normal reading flows.
  • Visual Selection: Pair accurate chart types (bar/column charts for categories, line charts for trends, scatterplots for variables) to the data.
  • Information Hierarchy: Group metrics using enclosure boxes, remove duplicate axis labels, and start high-level before introducing granular tables.
  • Contextual Copywriting: Overwrite default dashboard chart titles with explicit, actionable observations that read cleanly like an analytical story.
