Accountabilities
The Software Developer - L5 will provide technical leadership across engineering teams by driving architecture decisions, establishing best practices, and delivering scalable solutions. This role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence teams beyond direct ownership areas.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale software systems, along with the ability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams.
- Advanced engineering knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for building innovative and reliable technology solutions.
- Deep expertise in one or more programming languages and ecosystems such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Proven experience architecting distributed systems designed for horizontal scalability and resilience.
- Strong cloud architecture experience with platforms such as Azure and/or AWS, including infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and distributed systems patterns.
- Advanced API design and security expertise, including OAuth and scalable service integrations.
- Strong data modeling skills with expertise in SQL, relational databases, and evaluating alternative data storage solutions.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies such as blue-green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags.
- Knowledge of observability practices, including metrics, logging, tracing, SLIs, and SLOs.
- Experience integrating AI and large language model capabilities into production environments.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and lead technical strategy across multiple teams.
- Strong experience participating in code reviews and providing constructive technical feedback.
