Software Developer in Test

About the role

HireArt is assisting an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company in seeking a Software Developer in Test to contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions for critical mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android applications.
• Support the enhancement of existing mobile test automation frameworks and testing infrastructure.
• Absorb the configuration and maintenance of device farms in Sauce Labs and CI/CD testing workflows.
• Create and execute functional, integration, and regression test suites.
• Investigate test failures, analyze results, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to test coverage for new features, edge cases, and high-priority workflows.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to improve testing efficiency and software quality.

Requirements

• Experience programming in Python, Kotlin, Java, Swift, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with mobile application development or testing concepts.
• Exposure to mobile testing frameworks such as XCUITest, Espresso, Compose Testing, Appium, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as PyTest, Git, Jira, and CI/CD workflows.
• Basic understanding of API testing and software testing methodologies.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience using Sauce Labs or similar cloud-based testing platforms.
• Experience with Node.js, Express, or backend application development.
• Experience with test automation projects through coursework, internships, or professional experience.
