DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is a leader in working to end the transplant waiting list through organ and tissue donation, transplantation, and distribution. Our unique approach combines nationwide service with strong local community ties. We operate three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations, a tissue bank, and an eye bank, all driven by our mission to serve donor families and recipients.

About the role

The Software Developer will develop, implement, and maintain web applications and database functionality to support DCIDS’s life-saving mission.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure proper communication on all sites.
  • Develop and maintain database-driven websites.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services.
  • Develop applications to support business processes.
  • Design and implement user-driven templates, databases, and interfaces.
  • Ensure proper testing of web applications, units, and systems.
  • Provide strategies to identify, create, represent, distribute, and enable the use of SharePoint as an effective collaboration tool.
  • Provide accurate reporting with status reports of site activities and issues.
  • Learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively to development of applications and tools.
  • Field escalated helpdesk requests, enter helpdesk tickets, and resolve tickets as appropriate.
  • Assist with implementation and testing of applications.
  • Provide individual and group instruction/training as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with at least two of the following programming languages: C#, ASP.NET, SQL (SSMS), HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C++.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Technical skills in Visual Studio, SQL Server, Web Development, and SharePoint development.
