Software Developer (Go/Scala)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our FlexONE Team at FlexTrade Systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and have experience developing the FlexONE platform using Go, Scala, and data lakehouse services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features on the product roadmap
• Take initiative and gather requirements from Project Managers and other sources
• Identify and implement performance enhancements in the core product
• Implement bug fixes and assist with production support as needed
• Collaborate with other members of the team while proactively solving problems

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (Scala, Go, etc.)
• A firm understanding of maintainable design concepts and development practices focused on provable correctness
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, problems, and solutions
• Motivation and determination to achieve, learn, and grow

Desirable Skills

• Experience with functional programming concepts (Scala is a plus)
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
