Software Developer/ Engineer with Security Clearance

About the role

Athenix Solutions Group is seeking Software Engineers to contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex and diverse software systems supporting national security. Roles range from individual contributors to team members working on projects that defend our nation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems
• Work in a Linux based development environment using tools like VSCode
• Work on Linux based systems using Redhat, CentOS, Rocky, etc.
• Backend development and scripting of complex systems using languages like C++, Python, and JAVA
• Web-based user interface design and crafting an exciting user experience using JavaScript, Vue.js, etc.
• Build applications in a microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes
• Use databases and deal with large datasets using MongoDB or SQL
• Participate in an Agile software development environment using a tracking system to manage your work like Jira

Requirements

• Active Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
• Education: Positions available at all levels regardless of experience
• Entry Level: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and no or minimal experience (4 years of relevant experience can qualify)
• Basic Level: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and 4 years of relevant experience
• Mid-Level: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, and 8 years of relevant experience
• Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, and 12 years of relevant experience
• Note: A Master’s degree in computer science or relevant field can be used to substitute for 4 years of experience
• Note: Additional years of experience may also be used in most cases as a substitute for the Bachelor's requirement
