About the role

As a software developer, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful change through technology. Trihydro is at the forefront of developing connected vehicle technology solutions that make a real, immediate difference in the world. Connected vehicle technology allows effective communication between transportation options such as cars, buses, trains, and infrastructure, with the potential to dramatically reduce serious injuries and fatalities on our nation’s roadways. You will support diverse clients, including state DOTs, USDOT, and third-party consumers of CV data, to continuously improve human health and the environment. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in computer science or a related field.
  • 3-6+ years’ experience developing software.
  • Skilled in Java, Spring, REST services, Linux, and various cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/Confluent.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with various databases including relational, NoSQL, and graph databases.
  • Familiar with cloud-based data management systems.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, agencies, and team members.
  • Understands the importance of time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and test new software features.
  • Stay current on connected vehicle applications, websites, and REST services development.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with product users, team members, and supervisors.
  • Represent the organization professionally in internal and external settings, maintaining high priority for respectful customer response.
  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Perform assigned technical tasks under supervision using established procedures and guidance, with attention to accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Learn project workflows, rules, and functions.
  • Communicate progress, questions, and issues to supervisors or project leads.

Pay

Summary pay range: $70,000–$100,000 (based on experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations).
