Software Developer - Backend

We partner with government agencies to provide high-impact software development, system integration, and program management services built on a foundation of trust and technical excellence. As a Backend Web Developer, you will design and build secure, high-performance APIs and backend services supporting mission-focused applications. You'll work across the full scope of backend services, developing scalable microservices, managing data persistence layers, and automating integration processes using cloud-native architectures.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Demonstrated professional experience developing backend systems and APIs
• Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot, Node and Express, Python with Flask or Django, or similar backend stacks
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Experience with build automation tools and dependency management (Gradle, Maven, NPM, or Pip)
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows (branching, merging, pull requests)
• Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack
• Experience optimizing backend performance and implementing caching (Redis, Memcached)
