About the role

The Software Developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the entire technology stack. This includes both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create production-ready code to solve business problems.
  • Develop and thoroughly test code to ensure its quality and reliability.
  • Document technical aspects of the work for clarity and future reference.
  • Collaborate with the technology team, third parties, and subject matter experts to enhance project outcomes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and maintain/upgrade existing code.
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies as needed to support ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards and practices.
  • Work on diverse projects and gain exposure to cloud platforms.
  • Grow into advanced development responsibilities within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of prior work experience as a software developer.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment).
  • Experience working on complex business system integrations.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with core web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.).
  • Experience with relational databases and relational data models.
  • Ability to work fully in-office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of prior work experience as a software developer.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial Services industry and Agile development experience preferred.
  • Direct experience working on a SaaS platform for middle market and enterprise size companies; e.g., ServiceNow.
  • Experience with a Configuration Management Database and the Common Service Data Model.
  • Experience with REST integrations.
  • Experience scripting with JavaScript and AngularJS.
  • Knowledge in Agile development using Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
