Software Developer

About the role

The Software Developer supports the U.S. Army C5ISR Center to develop advanced cyber defense research, detection methods, sensor structures, data optimization, and intrusion detection innovations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and update the CSSP’s custom software primarily deployed in a RHEL infrastructure.
• Develop new applications or tools using core programming languages (Python, PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, Java).
• Troubleshoot application issues as needed.
• Apply ML and other advanced techniques to data processing.
• Adapt existing systems and architectures to new environments, such as cross-domain solutions.
• Refine and improve system architectures to reduce computational and storage requirements.

Requirements

• Required Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field.
• Any one of the following IAT I Certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP.
• Experience using Interrogator, CSSP Subscriber Manager (CSM), RMF Writer, and other tools and applications.
• Experience with Python, PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, and Java.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Python, PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, and Java.
• Experience with RHEL and other Linux distributions.
• Experience with cloud-based and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and methodologies.
• Ability to apply machine learning and other advanced techniques to data analysis.
• Experience with system architecture adaptation and refinement.
