Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality software applications to meet the school's operational and educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing school software, including the Student Information System, websites, and internal portals.
- Manage databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and accessibility.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot software issues for staff and faculty.
- Develop clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all software projects.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose solutions that could benefit the school's mission.
- Ensure all software solutions are secure and comply with data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience in a software development role.
- Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development languages and frameworks.
- Solid experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A self-motivated and organized individual capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working within an educational or non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with educational technology (EdTech) or content management systems.
