Software Developer
About the role
As a full stack developer, you’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges by shaping systems with the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify needed system improvements, and develop software and systems from vision to production-ready solutions. This role involves more than coding—you’ll collaborate with a team to create complete end-to-end solutions while considering current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
- Write source code for new applications or enhance existing applications.
- Develop complete solutions using back-end and front-end languages.
- Solve complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
- Help ensure solutions consider current architecture, operating environment, and future functionality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications.
- 2+ years of software development experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
- Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, or NodeJS.
- Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.
- Active Secret clearance.

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
