Software Developer

About the role

Software Developer (Senior) based in Tysons, VA. The developer will support the full lifecycle development (analyze, design, develop, deploy, maintain) of innovative and interactive web, video and multimedia training products. Responsibilities include product research, programming/authoring, interface design, testing and quality control for web‑based training, SharePoint sites, multimedia applications, video productions, graphic design, and print products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, deploy, and maintain web, video, and multimedia training products.
• Conduct product research and author content.
• Create interface designs and perform testing and quality control.
• Develop and maintain web‑based training, SharePoint sites, multimedia applications, video productions, graphic design, and print deliverables.
• Configure, implement, and maintain the Enterprise Application Auditing Tool, Enterprise Application MFA Solution (OAuth), and Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) systems.
• Write Bash scripts and develop automation/orchestration processes for IAM services.
• Support IAM governance frameworks, group policy management, and privileged access management (PAM) tools.
• Teach non‑technical users navigation of GitHub, Linux‑based OS, and AWS services such as S3 and EC2.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience executing software development activities.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS) including S3 and EC2, Apache Web Server, and Apache Tomcat.
• Proficiency in Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, and VS Code.
• Experience with version control, testing, and debugging best practices.
• Ability to convey technical information to non‑technical individuals.

Required Skills

• Expertise with AWS infrastructure security and access controls.
• Ability to adapt equipment and technology to meet user needs and design requirements.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Experience developing and supporting automation and orchestration processes for IAM services.
• Understanding of IAM governance frameworks, RBAC, group policy management, and PAM tools.

Highly Desired Skills

• Migration experience from on‑premises services to AWS using migration tools.
• Experience maintaining Java and PHP applications on Windows.
• Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Experience with AWS Secrets Manager.
• At least three years of experience contributing to software development activities or projects within the intelligence community (IC).
