Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Software Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia. You will be part of a team of developers building a new application that utilizes LLM to convert data and access policies from a variety of sources and formats into a uniform format for compliance assessment. The Developer works closely with product owners, business analysts, and other teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Developer will analyze and decompose complex software systems and develop with scalability, testability, and performance in mind.
Responsibilities
- Develop microservice-based Java and Angular applications
- Develop secure RESTful APIs
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Utilize Scrum agile techniques to manage workload and incrementally build applications
- Use Amazon Web Services to write custom scripts for installing and configuring code in EC2 instances
- Collaborate on defining system architectures and designing new features
- Participate in Scrum agile framework activities, including planning deliverables and grooming the Jira backlog
- Engage in team rotation of O&M responsibilities, including after-hours on-call support approximately one week every three months
Requirements
- BS degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with Java, Angular, and secure RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Experience using Amazon Web Services and scripting for EC2 instance configuration
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or Rundeck
- Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
Qualifications
- Experience building and deploying applications on Spring Boot
- Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts
- Experience with design patterns and best practices
- Experience with integration testing frameworks
- Documented open-source contributions, technical certifications, or continued education
Pay
The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is $190,000 - $230,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
