Software Developer/Associate Consultant

About the Role

We are hiring for two tracks, each offering a broad, all-rounder experience:

  • Associate Consultant: Wear multiple hats across corporate sales, customer success, account management, and operations.
  • Software Developer: Work full-stack (front-end and back-end) and act as a product manager to drive adoption and shape future features.

In both tracks, we seek self-starters with excellent problem-solving skills, high initiative, persistence, and ownership. You thrive on getting things done and take projects to their logical conclusion.

Why Join Us?

  • Freedom: Unlike typical companies where you translate requirements into code or follow rigid procedures, at eLitmus, you figure things out yourself through extensive research. This approach has high failure rates but also the potential for high impact.
  • Create History: Many leading companies (e.g., car rental giants, Amazon in its early days) failed to innovate despite having resources. At eLitmus, you have the opportunity to build tools that could turn eLitmus into a cult brand, leveraging our existing user base.
  • All-Round Exposure: Our DNA ensures every team member gets a holistic view of the business. Developers see how their code impacts users, and consultants witness how eLitmus customers outperform peers. You’re encouraged to work on side projects using eLitmus’s database and traffic—potentially creating something as impactful as Facebook.

We’re entering eLitmus 3.0, transitioning from a tech-enabled company to a tech-driven one. Even in the Associate Consultant role, tech-savviness is expected. We’re looking for mavericks—those who "stay foolish and stay hungry" and live life on their own terms.

Eligibility

  • 2025 batch BE/BTech students.
  • For the software track: CS/IS branch students.
  • For the business track: All branches.
  • Good academic track record.
  • Good pH score (eLitmus’s proprietary test).

What Will Help You Succeed

The selection process is rigorous. Key skills evaluated include:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex challenges independently.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated by going out of your way to complete long-term, real-life projects.
  • Extensive Reading Habit: Stay informed on current affairs, non-fiction, economy, etc., or have substantial real-life software/app-building experience.
  • Leadership: Held significant positions of responsibility.
  • Curiosity: Explored topics outside your curriculum.
  • Logic and Mathematics: Enjoy puzzles, brain teasers, and analytical thinking.
  • General Knowledge: Stay glued to world events—lack of awareness is a red flag (e.g., not knowing the current CEO of Microsoft).

Compensation

Full-Time Employment (FTE):

  • CTC of ₹12 lakhs, including Phantom Bonus stocks worth ₹4 lakhs (assured cash, not linked to stock price).
  • Phantom bonus payout structure:
    • 5% at the end of 12 months from the effective date of appointment.
    • 10% at the end of 24 months.
    • 85% at the end of 36 months.

Note: eLitmus invests heavily in training new hires through direct mentoring by senior team members. Only candidates willing to commit to a minimum of 24 months post-commencement of full-time employment should apply.

Additional Notes

  • Most colleges we visit offer two job profiles: software and business. Applying to the software profile excludes you from future consideration for the business profile.
  • Candidates rejected in any role at eLitmus in the last 2 years are ineligible to apply.
  • If your previously rejected candidature is discovered at any stage, you will be dropped from the process.
