Software Developer - Advanced - Workflow

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience
• An active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph within the last 5 years
• Java, JavaScript frameworks (React), Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern datastores (NoSQL, Relational, Object)

The Work
Responsible for the full stack development of Cloud based applications and microservices.

Our Program is seeking innovative engineers to support a critical application centered in the Analytic mission as well as modernize the legacy system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

Desired Skills

• Familiar with: spring, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, Swagger and AWS managed services
• System Requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, and Agile Methodology
• Familiar with FOSS & GOTSCloud Experience
• Shall have one (1) year demonstrated work experience with full stack development; front-end, API and backing datastores
• Shall have demonstrated work experience with Spring Boot microservices, 12-Factor applications, serialization such as JSON and/or BSON and CI/CD pipelines
• Shall have analyzed user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Shall have designed and coded new software or modified existing software to add new features
• Shall have debugged existing software and corrected defects
• Shall have integrated existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Shall have developed simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Shall have provided recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Shall have developed or implemented algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Shall have assisted with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Shall have written or reviewed software and system documentation
• Shall have served as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
• Shall have modified existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
• Shall have designed, developed and modified software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Shall have implemented complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
