About the role
SC Data Center, Inc. is a rapidly evolving technology company supporting Colony Brands, Inc., a large multi-channel direct-marketing company. This role requires onsite work at our headquarters in Monroe, WI, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other developers to design and implement solutions.
- Develop, test, implement, document, and maintain high-quality business systems software solutions using the latest programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Maintain and improve existing software, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and performs optimally.
- Take a lead role on complex initiatives and mentor staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent in related education and professional work experience.
- Experience with Retail Commerce Systems, including Product Sourcing, Call Center, eCommerce, and Order Fulfillment Systems.
- 5+ years of work experience in a software development role.
- 3+ years of experience in a combination of the following: .NET Core, C#, development of RESTful API services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of microservices architecture, application development lifecycle, event-driven and asynchronous architecture, object-oriented design, etc.
- Experience with MySQL, Dynamo, or similar databases.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Pipelines, CI/CD.
- Experience with Git or an equivalent distributed version-control system/repo.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, AWS preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate on designs, estimates, and delivery of complex development tasks while acting as a proactive team member in an Agile development environment.
- Creates clean and maintainable code following coding standards and secure coding requirements.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication for both technical and business audiences.
- Continually enhances and shares knowledge in application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards.
- Willingly acquires, applies, and trains others in new technical skills driven by business needs or technological advancements.
