Software Dev Engineer - Test, Digital Accelaration

About the role

Amazon Digital Acceleration (DA) is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a team of senior SDETs and principle engineers. The role involves building highly visible, robust automation tools and frameworks to address challenging problems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and test improvements to mission-critical systems that power customer subscriptions at Amazon.
• Write and implement test plans to identify bugs and design flaws in our systems.
• Create reliable and maintainable code and find creative, scalable solutions to difficult problems.
• Experience working with high-traffic, scalable services is a plus.
• Own major deliverables at all phases of the development cycle: scoping, design, coding, and testing using an agile process.
• Build frameworks to support a fast-growing feature set in our Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Work with other teams to flesh out cross-team requirements and designs.
• Determine/recommend the best designs based on business objectives, timelines, and resource constraints.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
• 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
• 4+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience.
• Experience designing or supporting low-maintenance automation frameworks.
• Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues.
