About the role
A position is available for a Software Development Engineer to accelerate test automation for a new pick/stow station program. In this role, you will develop automated test cases that gate the software release pipeline, expediting the delivery of new builds to production floors. Your work will directly influence the quality standard for hardware deployed across numerous fulfillment centers.
Responsibilities
- Author, debug, and maintain automated test cases in Java using an existing test framework.
- Build tests for pick, ICQA, and stow workflows.
- Integrate tests into the alpha/beta release pipeline as automated quality gates.
- Triage test failures and collaborate with QA-Auto engineers and development teams.
- Utilize AI coding tools to author and maintain tests at high velocity.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field is required.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in test automation or software development.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java is required.
- Detail-oriented, clear communicator, able to work independently, and productive under release-cycle pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AI-native / agentic coding tools.
- Background in robotics, hardware-integration, or fulfillment-systems.
