Software Dev Engineer II, AWS Infra Supply Chain Automation
About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. As part of AWS Supply Chain Management Team, you'll be a key part of developing next-generation supply chain solutions, and you'll have the chance to design and create enterprise-class products from scratch. You'll architect, design, and implement federated and highly scalable distributed systems with high availability, low latency, and high throughput. You'll get the chance to use AWS' latest technologies to build and deploy enterprise-class products. We are looking for creative and motivated software developers that want to work on challenging and high-impact problems. To be successful in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of algorithms and data structures, as well as the ability to produce bulletproof code. You must be passionate about delivering high-quality designs, inventive in problem-solving, and unafraid to think outside the box.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Pay
Base salary range: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
