Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core media functionality in C++ shared across platforms, and build platform-specific bindings for iOS, Android, and Web.
  • Develop and maintain our video playback, broadcast, and real-time SDKs with a focus on performance, reliability, and consistent cross-platform behavior.
  • Collaborate with backend video teams on low-latency and real-time media broadcasting and playback.
  • Design clean, ergonomic SDK APIs that balance platform conventions with cross-platform consistency.
  • Build reliable unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across multiple platforms and device configurations.
  • Stay current on media codecs, streaming protocols, and platform-level media frameworks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Experience building cross-platform libraries or SDKs with a shared C++ core
  • Familiarity with media concepts such as video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, WebRTC), or real-time media pipelines
  • Experience with platform-specific development on at least one of iOS (Swift/Obj-C), Android (Kotlin/Java), or Web (TypeScript)

Skills

  • Strong C++ programming skills
  • Experience with cross-platform development
  • Knowledge of media codecs and streaming protocols
  • Experience with real-time media pipelines
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and reliable systems

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually.
