Software Delivery Lead

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Software Delivery Lead to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will guide the delivery of complex software initiatives from planning through release, with a strong emphasis on execution discipline, stakeholder alignment, and operational continuity. The position is focused on leading integrated teams across multiple locations while ensuring software solutions are delivered reliably and supported effectively in production. You will partner with internal operations teams, user communities, executive leadership, and external stakeholders to prioritize work, manage schedules, and drive measurable performance improvements. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to software development and customer teams
• Plan and execute multiple software projects from inception to release
• Collaborate with operations and user communities for successful software launches
• Engage with stakeholders to prioritize development work and release schedules
• Oversee software product sustainment in production environments
• Report on project status to executive management and government partners
• Drive performance improvements using relevant metrics and process assessments

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Federal contracting, with a minimum of 5 years in management roles
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale software systems with comprehensive support services
• Hands-on knowledge of Agile methodologies in project delivery
• Experience with process improvement methodologies, particularly CMMI
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, integrated teams and subcontractors across multiple locations

Pay

$155,000 – $259,000 annually
