Job Summary
This individual performing the WTP IS&T Software Automation Lead Analyst position supports a large-scale project of significant complexity. The primary responsibility involves overseeing the development and implementation of the WTP High Level Waste (HLW) Integrated Software Automation Roadmap. This role requires coordinating with multiple stakeholders to implement software and data interface upgrades essential for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of HLW.
Major Responsibilities
- Implement new software for the project, implementing an automation roadmap through project completion.
- Keep up to date on the latest applications of information technology.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with stakeholders to understand organizational and operational challenges.
- Oversee implementation projects from beginning to completion.
- Develop schedules and reports that assist stakeholders in implementing programs.
- Manage technical difficulties, working with stakeholders, vendors, or developers when necessary.
- Collaborates with engineering, procurement, construction automation staff to elicit requirements for information management, data validation, and data ownership work activities.
- Applies knowledge of 3D, 4D, 5D principles and practices to explore data integration with commercial-off-the-shelf software.
- Coordinates with and supports technical team members in information systems, automation, and engineering in areas related to engineering authoring and integration tools.
- Produces artifacts to convey data integration and management activities for review and coordination.
Education And Experience Requirements
- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the jobsite), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
- Strong analytical skills to create reports and offer recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to completion.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify team’s challenges and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with project management and business analysis software.
- Strongly developed organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and implementing new hardware or software programs.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server database systems.
- Hands-on experience with EPC tools.
- Experience with Information Management and Data Integration.
