Software Architect – General

Role Description

UST is seeking a Software Architect - General for full-time employment. The opportunity includes independently designing, documenting, and developing software architecture and high-level design for large or mid-size projects. Responsibilities also include performing software/technology build, test, and deployment activities, refining and enhancing software/system architecture and framework, providing recommendations on various approaches to solving technical problems, researching and recommending new product ideas/innovations and proposals on new and emerging technologies, performing design reviews, technical and architectural audits of complex projects, leading cross-company or project level technology evaluations, driving decisions on buy, build, partner, or open source, creating sales proposals, assisting pre-sales or account teams with project size estimation, designing solutions, and creating prototypes when necessary. Additionally, the role involves defining technical processes around SDLC for operational outcomes such as configuration management, build and integration, release management, leading development teams through guidance, mentorship, and influence, identifying team competencies, and defining training plans for project teams.

What You Need

• Bachelor's or Foreign Equivalent Degree in Computer Science, MIS (Management Information System), CIS (Computer Information System), Engineering - any branch, or related field;
• Two (2) Years of Experience as a Software Architect - General or related occupation.

The 2 years' experience required must include Global Delivery model experience and the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to all levels. Must be able to relocate as needed by the company. Must be able to execute projects on different languages, database, and software skill sets. Must be able to travel and/or relocate to any work site in the U.S. as needed with expenses paid by the employer. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 (Unanticipated Work sites throughout the US)

Compensation Range

$157,123 - $160,000 per year; 40 hours per week; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
