About the Role

We are searching for a talented Social Work Counselor with a $7,500 new hire sign-on bonus for candidates holding an LICSW or LMHC license at the time of hire. Rehires termed more than one year are also eligible. This is a full-time, day shift position (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) located at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of duties in the hospital setting, providing behavioral health and complex care management services to Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide behavioral health treatment, including individual and family psychotherapy using brief treatment modalities.
• Serve as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders.
• Collaborate and coordinate with complex/chronic care management and longitudinal community support services.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.
• BLS certification is required within three (3) months of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the exemption once hired.

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $35.70 - USD $50.24 per hour.
