About the Role

This position involves performing clinical services and providing therapeutic interventions for clients. You will work with individuals, groups, and families using a variety of therapy techniques, including expressive therapy, crisis intervention, psychodrama, and modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical services, including intakes, group, individual, and family therapy, expressive therapy, crisis intervention, psychodrama, and modeling.
  • Maintain and complete service documentation such as psychosocial assessments, case notes, case reviews, court reports, and letters.
  • Conduct case reviews and determine current and future treatment plans based on client progress and quantitative results.
  • Collaborate with external agents, including community mental health representatives (CHR), school officials, family members, and other health agencies regarding client needs and conditions.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and clinical seminars.
  • Write correspondence on behalf of clients and their families, such as court reports and letters of recommendation.
  • Conduct case presentations and consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered.
  • Formulate clinical diagnoses for mental health and substance abuse conditions.
  • Develop and implement clinical treatment plans for interventions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work and licensed as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in Kentucky.
  • Understanding of Kentucky’s board of social work laws and regulations regarding clinical practices.
  • Three to six months of related internship or practicum experience.
  • Two years of experience in a crisis setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mental and physical characteristics of applicable populations, psychotherapy, human behavior, and treatment modes.
  • Experience managing a caseload with varying levels of client disability and need.
  • Knowledge of community resources and SCS services.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional exposure to the threat of bodily harm from clients or their families.
  • Normal work tasks may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
  • Position may require remaining on twenty-four-hour call at times.
  • Reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites.
