About the role
The Social Worker Senior serves as a member of the Pediatrics healthcare team to enhance support for patients, families, providers and staff. The Social Worker role in Pediatrics is critical to ensuring our patients and families have the necessary medical and financial resources available to them and for ensuring all children have access and parental/guardian support to help them thrive.
Responsibilities
- Takes the lead role in referrals to ensure appropriate level of documentation and active case planning in collaboration with DCBS and other agencies.
- Responds appropriately to investigate any concerns in a timely fashion, working closely with DCBS on medical neglect and suspected abuse referrals.
Requirements
No experience required.
Certified Social Worker (CSW) license required.
Physical requirements include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs.
Shift: Monday – Friday, Days (with flexibility).
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in social work preferred.
- One year of experience in a medical setting highly preferred.
