Social Worker School
TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado-based, therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with local schools to provide School Social Worker (SW) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. About the role
This is an on-site role as a School Social Worker serving a school located in Littleton (Jeffco), CO. The position is available full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time for the 2026-2027 school year (August - May/June), focusing on elementary grades. The role includes guaranteed hours for documentation, administrative, and planning time, with dual support from the District and TheraPeds.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to students
- Conduct assessments and develop IEP plans
- Evaluate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents)
- Support students according to their IEP
- Perform evaluations, consultation, eligibility and diagnostics, and student services
- Manage caseloads with support from the District and TheraPeds
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) License with School Social Worker endorsement (or eligibility)
- Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings
- Experience working with children or school-aged students preferred
- Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning
- 2+ years of experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires the ability to perform necessary physical movements, including lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities.
Pay
$50 - $70+/hour ($1,875 - $2,625/week+)
