SOCIAL WORKER - PER DIEM

About the role

Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform social services functions to assist patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs
• Enable patients to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health
• Provide basic consultation and teaching
• Complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care
• Provide crisis intervention
• Provide short-term and long-term family therapy
• Provide information and referrals as needed

Qualifications

• Education: MSW or MA in Counseling
• Licensure: LMSW or LLMSW; LPC or LLPC
• Experience: At least 1 to 3 years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills
• Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered
• This position is for weekend coverage and additional days if available
