SOCIAL WORKER-PER DIEM

About the role

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center offering advanced behavioral health and diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents, and older adults in inpatient and outpatient programs. We are currently looking for a Per Diem Inpatient Social Worker.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the patient's mental and psycho-social needs and provide services to meet these needs in order to attain or maintain the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being
• Coordinate and manage services provided to each patient to establish a focused, individualized program geared towards specific goals unique to that patient
• Act as a liaison for patient, family and staff, overseeing day to day operations of all care provided to ensure successful patient outcomes
• Perform clinical assessment and treatment of designated patients on assigned unit
• Conduct discharge planning
• Participate as a member of multidisciplinary treatment team
• Use an understanding of principles of growth to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care
• Conduct individual, family and group therapy by encouraging open communication and verbalization of feelings in an attempt to increase self-awareness and identify and resolve problems

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Licensure as a social worker in the State of New Jersey required
• Minimum of 1-2 years clinical expertise in individual, group, family and marital therapy
• Previous experience in case management discharge planning
• Psychiatric inpatient experience preferred
• Strong writing and communications skills
• Experience with Dual Diagnosis and/or Addiction Medicine preferred
