Social Worker (Mental Health Consultant)

About the Position

This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital's Social Work Services in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Responsibilities

• Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
• Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
• Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
• Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
• Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic Requirement: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
