Social Worker ( LCSW) - Eating Disorders Program, Outpatient

About the role

The Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,134-bed facility with an extensive outpatient and specialty care network. The Department of Social Work Services is one of the oldest hospital social work departments in the nation, employing over 450 licensed social workers across more than 65 different program/service areas.

Responsibilities

• Social worker in this role will support the existing multidisciplinary team in co-leading groups for adolescents and parents and providing psychotherapy for patients through the Center.
• Contribute to the larger mission of the Center of Excellence in eating disorders aimed at integrating research into all levels of clinical practice.
• Participate in administrative and clinical duties that these acutely ill patients require.

Qualifications

• NYS LCSW.
• Experience providing direct clinical care to children, adolescents, adults, and caregivers in outpatient, hospital or community-based settings.
• Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and weight-related concerns preferred.
• Experience facilitating individual, group, and family therapy preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills.
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
• Passion for direct clinical work and building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Ability to work flexibly within a hybrid model that includes both in-person and remote clinical care.

Pay

$88691 - $101670.78 Annually.

Schedule

Full-time position. A hybrid model that includes both in-person and remote clinical care. The schedule includes 2-3 days per week (remote or in-person) with shifted hours of 11:00 AM–7:00 PM. The remaining days follow standard business hours. Flexibility is available regarding which days are assigned to the later schedule.
