About the role

The Department of Social Services (DSS) seeks a skilled professional to develop, maintain, and implement record review tools for Child Welfare programs. This role involves conducting quality reviews of various Child Welfare Programs and creating summary reports to improve the quality of work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain record review tools for Child Welfare programs.
  • Conduct quality reviews of Child Welfare Programs using record review tools.
  • Analyze data from record reviews to identify error trends and recommend improvements.
  • Create summary reports on data analysis for Program Manager and Supervisors.
  • Deliver training on relevant topics to Child Welfare Services Supervisors and other team members.
  • Attend and participate in State reviews, audits, and meetings with State Program Representatives.
  • Aid in providing quality soft-skills training to new hires and existing employees.
  • Participate in unit/section meetings to discuss quality reviews and training elements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only).
  • Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience.
  • Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices.
  • Considerable knowledge of medical, behavioral, and psychosocial problems and their treatment theory.
  • Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques.
  • General knowledge of methods and principles of casework supervision and training.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong preference for knowledge of Child Welfare Services laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of other DSS programs.
  • Knowledge of Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSR) and its process.
  • Professional judgment, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Pay

$58,135.00 - $78,447.00
