About the role

The Adult Corrections Facility (ACF) is a confinement center for adult offenders committed to serving a maximum sentence of one year. Case Management Assistants promote public safety and provide victim restoration by holding offenders accountable and offering opportunities for change through assessment and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Hold offenders accountable and provide opportunities for change through assessment and supervision.
• Support public safety and victim restoration.
• Work within the Department of Community Corrections.

Requirements

• Current probationary or permanent employee of the Department of Community Corrections.
• Two years (full-time) of responsible, paid social service work experience.
• A college degree in a behavioral science or a two-year Human Services Certificate.
• Experience working with clients or patients where the main focus of the job included scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, searching community resources, providing referrals, and arranging for language translation or interpreters.
• Experience performing intake triage assessments and evaluations, processing and coordinating high volumes of paperwork, and having a valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
• One-time, five-point preference for disabled veterans, spouses of disabled veterans, or surviving spouses of disabled veterans.

Qualifications

• Completed degrees in relevant fields.
• Experience with specific computer programs.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral systems.
