Social Worker - Hospital

About the role

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Social Worker to join their team. The role involves providing direct social work services to patients and their families, coordinating services with other departments, and making available a full range of treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct social work services to patients and their families
• Extends services to family members in need of identified social worker services
• Supports patients and families with psychosocial and environmental needs
• Counsels individuals, families, and groups based on social work assessment and diagnosis
• Collaborates with other departments and providers within Park Nicollet Health Services, including hospice, hospital, and clinic-based social workers, and out-of-system providers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work
• Current license to practice Social Work in the State of Minnesota (LSW)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work preferred

Skills

• Basic computer/keyboarding skills

Work Schedule

Casual position with the requirement to work 2 shifts per month, or 6 shifts per quarter. Job hours are 8am-4:30pm.
