MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team in a K-12 alternative certification program. This role involves working with diverse student populations to provide high-quality instruction and support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to alternative certification standards.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility for alternative certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in diverse educational settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Education or a specialized area (preferred).
• Experience with alternative education programs or at-risk student populations (a plus).
