About the Facility
Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital is a 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services across all patient populations, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults. The facility performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day and offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues. Additionally, it provides a robust outpatient program utilizing group, family, and individual therapy.
About the Role
The Social Worker performs social services functions to assist patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs, enabling them to achieve optimal emotional health through therapeutic treatment. Responsibilities include providing consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and offering information and referrals as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in meeting bio-psychosocial needs through therapeutic treatment.
- Provide basic consultation and teaching to patients and families.
- Deliver specialized clinical social work services for patients and families.
- Perform crisis intervention and short-term/long-term family therapy.
- Provide information and referrals as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master’s in Counseling (MA).
- Licensure as LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC.
- At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
- Strong clinical assessment skills.
- Combination of education, licensure, and experience (including student internship hours) may be considered.
This position is full-time with weekend and holiday rotation.
