Social Worker
Position Summary
This position assesses problems and capabilities of assigned persons in our care, formulates case plans, monitors progress, provides counseling, and develops and refers individuals to the appropriate institution and community resources upon transfer or release.
Salary Information
- Starting pay will be set based on full years of non-training Social Work Credentialing in Wisconsin.
- Supplemental (add-on) pay of $5.00/hr for all hours worked (not including leave time) at Green Bay Correctional Institution is currently available.
- The compensation plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire will determine the starting salary.
- A probationary period is required.

Qualifications
- Social Worker Credential from the Wisconsin DSPS is required to be considered for interview.
- In order to be considered for direct hire at the Social Worker - Senior level, applicants must also have a non-Training Certificate Social Work Credential AND 12 or more months of social work experience with correctional clients or 2 or more years of total social work experience.
