About the role
The Roaring Fork School District is seeking a certified School Social Worker to support students aged birth-21 in promoting their success and aligning with the district's mission.
Responsibilities
- Assists in screenings and observations to identify students with therapy needs.
- Responds to student mental health crises and offers education, prevention, and crisis/counseling.
- Makes referrals to community resources as needed.
- Maintains compliance with legal requirements and district policies.
- Develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Ensures awareness and training of mandatory reporting requirements among staff.
- Provides group and individual therapy and services, adapting based on students' needs.
- Coordinates communication between families, school staff, and leadership.
- Plans and delivers services based on comprehensive data analysis.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college.
- Possession of or enrollment in a program to obtain a Special Service Provider license through CDE.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License.
- One year experience in counseling or mental health field preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of continuum of mental health services, including prevention and intervention strategies.
- Special education rules and regulations.
- Standardized and non-standardized assessments.
- Positive discipline and classroom management techniques.
- De-escalation and physical restraint techniques.
- Community and school resources.
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- English language proficiency.

Pay
$56,809 - $87,909 (Based on education and years of relevant teaching experience)
