About the Organization

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service.

As part of its commitment to healthcare education and workforce development, CMH is home to the Maine College of Health Professions, Maine's first nursing and medical imaging school. Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma.
• Provide case management and milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, assist in the development and re-evaluation of Treatment Plans, and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate discharge planning.
• Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical records for each client during their length of stay.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related field.
• Current registration as an intern with the Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
• Behavior Violence Prevention training within 3 months of hire and maintain current annually.
• Minimum one (1) year of Inpatient or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or related field.

Pay

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation. The exact starting compensation for this role will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
