Social Work Manager

Role Overview The Clinical Social Worker Manager provides leadership, direction, and resource management for social workers in inpatient and ambulatory settings. They resolve psychosocial issues, remove barriers to patient care, and foster teamwork and innovation within the department. The role includes developing staff, overseeing performance, supporting leadership activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The manager participates in planning, committees, and research initiatives, while completing additional assigned duties. Qualifications & Skills Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited programMinimum of five years hospital-based or outpatient social work experience, including discharge planningAt least five years of supervisory/management experience in a medical settingAdherence to NASW Code of Ethics and Standards for Healthcare Social WorkLicenses as LICSW (Minnesota) and LCSW (Wisconsin) prior to start Key Responsibilities Lead and manage social work staff, fostering a collaborative environmentCoordinate staff development, performance management, and staff activitiesReview regulatory standards, oversee compliance, and participate in planning and meetingsSupport community involvement and research participation
