Social Work - Correctional Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - $1,536 per week

Nightingale's List is seeking a Social Work Correctional Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for a travel job in Toledo, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate to the correctional setting.
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address mental health needs, behavioral goals, and rehabilitation objectives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams—including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and custody staff—to coordinate holistic, person-centered care.
• Facilitate therapy sessions that promote emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, trauma processing, and interpersonal growth.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and CDCR standards.
• Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings and contribute to case formulation, treatment planning, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Support inmate transitions and pre-release preparation by addressing reintegration challenges and developing relapse-prevention and community reentry skills.

Requirements

• License to practice as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio.
• Experience working in a correctional or similar setting.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and their application in a correctional environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software used for documentation and case management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a correctional or similar setting.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
