About the role
Nightingale's List is seeking a Social Work Correctional Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for a travel job in Toledo, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate to the correctional setting.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address mental health needs, behavioral goals, and rehabilitation objectives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams—including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and custody staff—to coordinate holistic, person-centered care.
- Facilitate therapy sessions that promote emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, trauma processing, and interpersonal growth.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and CDCR standards.
- Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings and contribute to case formulation, treatment planning, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Support inmate transitions and pre-release preparation by addressing reintegration challenges and developing relapse-prevention and community reentry skills.
Requirements
- License to practice as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio.
- Experience working in a correctional or similar setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and their application in a correctional environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for documentation and case management.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a correctional or similar setting.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
