Social Work (A.A. Emphasis)

About the Program

The social work profession strives to enhance the social functioning of all people and promotes the development of social and environmental conditions that will help people achieve their maximum potential. Social work training helps prepare you for being an advocate for people who are often in difficult situations. Social workers may work with children, aging adults, victims of crime or trauma, people handling addiction, and those facing difficult family or legal situations.

Whatever your transfer destination, we'll work to make sure your credits move easily. That's why we're experts at it. We've worked out specific transfer agreements with many four-year colleges and universities. While MCC does not offer a degree in this field, these freshman- and sophomore-level courses easily transfer to a four-year college or university.
