About the role
St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. All teachers are expected to teach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education.
Responsibilities
The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching within the mission of the school and will report to the School Principal. The teacher will be expected to prepare young men and women for positions of responsibility and leadership through a college preparatory curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions.
Requirements
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Demonstrates oral and written proficiency
- Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices for classroom management
- Knowledge of and ability to differentiate instruction and apply academic accommodations
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technology skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies or equivalent, or a Bachelor's Degree in an alternate field with a minimum of 24 credit hours in Social Studies
- At least six (6) months of direct teaching or student teaching experience at the high school level
- Preferred: Previous high school teaching experience, Minimum 12 college credit hours in education, Teacher certification
Skills
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong technology skills.

Pay
Salary: $47,000 Annualized
Schedule
Work Hours: Mon to Fri 7:30 am-4:00 pm, with some night and weekend work dependent on student activity sponsorship and special events such as Open House.
