Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of social studies courses to students in grades 6-12.
• Lead and inspire students to become lifelong contributors and leaders in society.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and address equity gaps.

• Implement culturally responsive teaching strategies to affirm and empower students.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement to teach Social Studies.
• Experience in teaching social studies to students in grades 6-12.
• Strong commitment to anti-racist practices and equitable education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student body and community.
