Job Responsibilities

Instruct students in History and/or other related fields.

Work under limited supervision, provide classroom instruction and management for a 11 students according to their individual needs and design curriculum in accordance with South Carolina state standards.

Some weekend and evening hours are required for campus events and practices.

Complete all medical trainings and staff development trainings as required by the agency.

Use the Aiken County Teacher Pay Scale.

Requirements

  • Provide Classroom instruction for all students according to their individual needs and design a curriculum in accordance with South Carolina state standards.
  • Establish appropriate line-range plans by identifying the appropriate instructional, assessment, and management strategies.
  • Analyze student performance using appropriate assessments.
  • Communicate and maintain appropriate expectations for student learning, participation, and responsibility.
  • Use appropriate instructional strategies to promote student learning.
  • Maintain a classroom environment that encourages and supports student learning and efficiently manages student behavior, instructional routines and materials, and essential non-instructional tasks.
  • Participate in staff development training and activities.
  • Attend school meetings.
  • Participate in preparation, organization, and supervision of student related activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in History or closely related field.
  • South Carolina Teaching Certification in appropriate area.
  • Valid driver's license.
