Social Studies High School Temporary 1st Semester (26-27) - LHS

Temporary 1st semester position for the 2026-27 school year at Lakeside High School.

About the role

• Full-time, temporary assignment for 185 work days (August–December 2026).
• Teach high-school Social Studies curriculum in compliance with California standards.
• Support English Language Learners as required by the credential authorization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess daily Social Studies instruction.
• Adapt lessons for diverse learners, including English Language Learners.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to families.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science.
• English Language Learner Authorization (must be documented on the CTC credential).
• Three current professional letters of reference dated within the last 12 months.
• Official transcripts and test scores.
• Complete disclosure of all prior educational employment per Education Code § 44939.5 (AB2534).

Pay

• Annual salary range: $57,704 – $139,342, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Maximum entry-level salary: $121,895.
• Up to 12 years of service credit may be granted.
