Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee 3 - 4 Social Services Advisors managing approximately 50 - 60 residential cases and 20 - 30 aftercare cases.
- Review commitments and complete demographic backgrounds with parents/guardians to identify youth needs.
- Make monthly visits to 40-50 cases, traveling to 6-8 sites and courts across the state.
- Build strong relationships with youth and families through face-to-face visits and phone calls.
- Attend Treatment Team Meetings and provide information through the Monthly Case Coordinator Questionnaire Form.
- Maintain regular contact with Treatment Team Members and coordinate meetings with providers.
- Monitor treatment plan goals and submit progress reports to contracted programs.
- Prepare and submit various treatment and procedure packets, such as ASAP, EJJ, ICJ, dual custody staffing reports, RRA, and SAVRY updates.
- Track and initiate commitment order extensions and communicate with courts regarding youth's release.
- Address and report grievances related to youth's needs not being met by the program.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of the Juvenile Justice System and PREA Standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least four years of work experience in human services programs or public service work, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check required.
